A WEEKEND FULL OF ART AND CULTURE

Whether you are interested in art or you are a movie buff, this is the weekend for you. The 24^th – 26^th August holds the 9^th Annual Ocean Shores Art Expo & Ocean Shores Public Schools Festival of the Imagination.  This is a fantastic weekend of interactive art, you can look at all of the wonderful local artists work and purchase if you wish, and at the school, they are holding creative workshops and bookstalls.  There will be local musicians and artistic demonstrations, historical slide shows and much more.  The expo showcases all types of artists from beginners to professionals, children to the elderly, a huge range of wonderful art.

Then on Sunday 26^th August head along to the Byron Community centre for WOW (World of Women) film festival.  It is a glimpse of the world through the eyes of women.  Come and check out the 17 best short films of the year.  You can make a day of it from 11am – 4pm for $15 or just catch one session either 11am or 1.30pm for $10 Tickets available at the door.
